My career began at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Kalamazoo. I taught ballroom dancing there for four years until the studio closed. Five months later I opened my own studio and have taught and operated it for 33 years.
Music has always been a huge part of my life. Before I started teaching ballroom dance, I had a lot of choreographed dance experience in the form of musical theatre productions.
After teaching at Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray for four years in Chicago, I am now eager to expand myself in Kalamazoo. From private wedding lessons to large group lessons, my high energy brings out the best in my students.
Becky Michalak has been dancing for 4 years. She is training to be a dance instructor at Sharon’s Dance Studio.
Brynn Lafferty-McGill is currently majoring in Elementary Education at WMU. She has participated in musical theatre productions and is training to teach ballroom dancing.
